Drug Development Centre
The Drug Development Centre in Sutton has been ranked 'double outstanding' by Cancer Research UK. There we conduct clinical trials that will lead to the development of new cancer medications. This will stretch the possibilities for future cancer treatments.
The Centre is currently conducting more than 20 Phase One trials including 'molecular targeted' therapies that are designed to inhibit the growth of cancer cells specifically.
Since its formal opening in February 2005, the Unit, has provided an invaluable resource for hundreds of patients’ with advanced cancer, keen to explore the potential of experimental treatment
