Parking

Please note that the hospital is unable to offer car parking facilities and that apart from a few metered bays and some disabled bays in Dudmaston Mews, on-street parking is strictly prohibited. Cars illegally parked are likely to be clamped. Cars parked in 'Resident Only' bays in Chelsea Square are likely to be towed away. Patients and visitors are strongly advised not to travel by car to the London site.

Congestion charging

From 19 February 2007, the Trust's London site will be covered by the western extension of the Congestion Charging Zone.

Patients and visitors and NHS staff are not automatically exempt from the congestion charge.  However, in March 2003, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust registered for a congestion charging London Reimbursement account with Transport for London (TFL).

This allows us to reimburse patients for whom it is essential to travel to the hospital by car for the costs of the congestion charge they may incur.  Claim forms are available from the Cashier’s Office opposite the Pharmacy at the Trust’s London site.

To be eligible for reimbursement, a patient must:

  • Have a compromised immune system, require regular therapy or assessment, or require recurrent surgical intervention
  • Be clinically assessed as too ill, weak or disabled to travel to a hospital appointment on public transport

For more information on congesting charging and the reimbursement scheme for NHS patients, please download Transport for London's leaflet.
