GP Education Day registration

Head and neck and renal / bladder cancer, 15 October 2010

Please join us for our next GP Education Day on Friday 15 October at The Royal Marsden Education and Conference Centre in Stewart’s Grove, London SW3 6JJ. This event will focus on aspects of head and neck and renal / bladder cancers relevant to you as a GP. The full programme will be confirmed soon, but the key learning points will be:

Renal / bladder session, chaired by Dr James Larkin, Consultant Medical Oncologist

  • Recognising the early symptoms of kidney and bladder cancer
  • When to refer for investigation
  • Advances in treatment for kidney and bladder cancer
  • Support for the patient having treatment for kidney and bladder cancer
  • Symptom control in advanced kidney and bladder cancer


Head and neck session, chaired by Dr Kate Newbold, Consultant Clinical Oncologist

  • What and when to refer
  • Care of treatment-related toxicities (surgical, radiotherapy and chemotherapy)
  • Multidisciplinary approach to management
  • Best supportive care and symptom control
