Funding for private treatment
It is important that all financial arrangements for your treatment are made at the time of, or shortly after, your first consultation.
Insurance
It is essential that you contact your medical insurer prior to your admission to ensure that you are eligible to be treated at The Royal Marsden and that your cover is adequate to cover the cost of treatment.
If confirmation of cover cannot be obtained by the time you are admitted, you will be asked to pay a deposit or settle the account in full and claim back from your insurer. We strongly advise all patients to check their eligibility before admission, with particular reference to exclusions and waiting periods.
On your first visit to The Royal Marsden, please bring your insurance details with you.
Self-funding
Hospital bills can be settled by cash, banker’s draft, major credit / debit cards or by direct transfer into the Trust's bank account. Personal cheques will not be accepted.
Embassy / corporate sponsorship
The Royal Marsden has an excellent relationship with a number of embassies. Patients being sponsored for private healthcare by their embassy need to produce a letter of guarantee from the embassy before any outpatient or inpatient treatment can occur.
