About The Banham Marsden March

The Banham Marsden March is a 15-mile sponsored walk between our two Royal Marsden sites in Chelsea and Sutton. There’s also a family-friendly 5-mile option.

On Sunday 23 May 2021, we hope that thousands of you will be walking the original route, crossing the finish line at The Royal Marsden in Sutton.

And now, we hope hundreds more of you will take on the 5- or 15-mile distance in your local area, with the brand-new addition of The Banham Marsden March at Home.

Whether you are joining us in person, or taking part at home, you’ll get a walker pack which includes a t-shirt and cap, kindly provided by our sponsor Banham.

Whichever way you get involved, you’ll be part of an incredible group of people making a difference to the lives of cancer patients with every step you take.

The Oak Cancer Centre

We were devastated to have had to cancel the event in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, especially as we had hoped to raise £2m for a very special cause: the Oak Cancer Centre.

The Oak Cancer Centre will speed up the development of life-saving treatments and ensure we can be there for everyone who needs us. This brand-new facility is due to open in Sutton by the end of 2022.

Now, more than ever, we need your support to make it a reality.

Whether you take part in the in-person event, or complete The Banham Marsden March at Home, it is only with your help that we can continue to build the Oak Cancer Centre.

We can’t thank you enough for continuing to fundraise at this difficult time.

Our sponsor

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is proud to be working with Banham as title sponsor for The Banham Marsden March.

Our 2021 event will be the sixth consecutive event that Banham has sponsored, and their support has been vital in helping us make The Banham Marsden March such a great success to date.

Charles Hallatt, Executive Chairman, Banham said:

Banham has proudly supported the March since 2015 with more than 360 members of our staff taking part to date, raising over £130,000. After the challenging circumstances presented in 2020, we look forward to being able to take part in this special event in 2021, celebrating the 10th anniversary.
