Together we walk to transform the lives of cancer patients.

Since the event began in 2011 our incredible walkers have raised over £16m for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Thanks to your support we continue to be there for everyone who needs us. With the vital funds raised by The Banham Marsden March we are able to support the nurses, doctors and researchers provide the very best care and develop life saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.

Meet the marchers

I want to help raise vital funds and give back to the hospital that has become my second home...The Banham Marsden March is a target for me, it gives me a sense of purpose and something to aim for.

Debbie

I did the 15 mile route of The Banham Marsden March and it was absolutely brilliant. The atmosphere was great, not just with people taking part in the event - people along the way were cheering for us.

Liz

When I crossed the finish line the feeling of elation was massive, and the crowd and staff from The Royal Marsden were cheering us on. The fact that many friends and colleagues had sponsored me and this went to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to help people like me and future patients made it all worthwhile.

Malcolm

There is something about being together with all those former patients and current patients and their families in a way to say thank you to the hospital. There are also people walking in memory of friends and family. You walk along with people and see the signs pinned to the back of people’s t-shirts; it is a really moving event.

Team Banham has walked with us every year since 2015.

Sign up and walk alongside Team Banham. Or if you know someone already marching, why not donate to their fundraising.

"Banham have been proudly supporting The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity since 2015, making this year’s Banham Marsden March our ninth event together. Within Banham, many of us have sadly been touched by cancer either directly, through our loved ones or amongst our colleagues. It is what makes this a cause that is so close to our hearts and why we continue to support and take part in this event that raises vital funds for cancer patients worldwide. Since 2015, over 540 members of Team Banham have taken part, raising over £170,000 to support the life-saving work of The Royal Marsden. We are proud to be continuing our support of the Charity as title sponsor of The Banham Marsden March and The Banham Marsden March at Home in 2024 and cannot wait to come together once again in support of this incredibly important cause".

Charles Hallatt, Executive Chairman at Banham.

I think the March is a way we can all give back to The Royal Marsden – not just for the work they do every day, but also to help fund research and new treatments. I want to make sure other patients can benefit from The Marsden the way I have.

Christine

We took part from our new home in Northern Italy. It was great to be able to do the walk - despite the added hills - and know that others were doing it back home.

What is The Banham Marsden March at Home

Since 2021 The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity have offered our supporters the option to get involved with The Banham Marsden March wherever they are, by organising their very own ‘Banham Marsden March at Home’.

The 'at Home' was first launched due to COVID restrictions; we asked people to walk in their local area instead of the traditional route and were blown away with the support this event received! Now each year we are pleased to include The Banham Marsden March at Home option for all our supporters who are unable to attend the event in London. Hundreds of our supporters have since organised their own Banham Marsden Marches across the UK and abroad to support The Royal Marsden through this special event.
