Associate Director of Public Fundraising

Location: Hybrid working, based at our Chelsea site (with occasional working from Sutton site) 

Salary: £85,000-£95,000 

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

The Role

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Associate Director of Public Fundraising. This pivotal role will accelerate income growth across mass fundraising channels including Community Fundraising, Individual Giving, and Legacy programmes. You will drive innovation, supporter engagement, and product development to grow sustainable income and support transformational projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious Public Fundraising strategy.
  • Inspire and manage high-performing teams across Community Fundraising, Individual Giving, and Legacy programmes.
  • Drive innovation and supporter-centric fundraising campaigns.
  • Strengthen supporter acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and embed best practices.
  • Represent the charity externally and build strong stakeholder relationships.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with:

  • Proven experience in public fundraising and income growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrable success in leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams.

Salary and Benefits

  • £85,000-£95,000
  • Up to 6% employer pension contributions.
  • 27 days annual leave plus UK bank holidays, rising to 29 days after five years.
