Chester Marathon – 8 October 2017

Chester Marathon runners

This multi-award winning run is the UK’s only international marathon from the Roman/Medieval City of Chester. The fast and predominantly flat route covers 19 miles of closed roads in England and 7 miles in Wales.

The marathon will pass iconic landmarks such as the Roman walls, cathedral, Medieval rows, Eastgate Clock and the amphitheatre, before heading out to the stunning countryside and villages of  Cheshire and North Wales.

The route then runs alongside the River Dee before finishing at the racecourse. Strong support from the villages and communities along the course is one of the many highlights of the race.
