Chester Half Marathon
This multi-award winning race is the UK’s only international half marathon from the Roman/Medieval City of Chester. The fast and predominantly flat route covers 13 miles of closed roads in England and Wales.
Please note, the 2024 Chester Half Marathon event registration deadline has passed, so the details below are regarding the 2025 event! Make sure to register your interest and we will be in touch as soon as you can sign up to be part of Team Marsden in 2025.
The Chester Half Marathon offers one of the flattest routes in many years, running past some of Chester's iconic historical landmarks and with a spectacular city centre finish.
The route starts at Chester racecourse, before heading out to the picturesque villages of Mollington and Lea by Backford. Strong support from the villages and communities along the course is one of the many highlights of the race.
The finish in the City Centre outside the Town Hall and Cathedral provides an inspiring setting with cheering crowds of welcoming spectators.
