We have made the difficult decision to close The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity offices in both the Chelsea and Sutton hospitals due to COVID-19. Our charity team will be working remotely and can be contacted via email - [email protected]. Post sent to the office will be checked once a week.

Here’s how to make the most out of the big day. After all that fundraising and walking, you’ve earned it!

Top Tips for The Banham Marsden March

  • The march will set off in waves, your start time is detailed in an email sent to you on Saturday 4th May.
  • There will be MCs in Chelsea and at King George’s playing fields, as well as our very own Radio Marsden at the finish area– listen out for them!
  • There will be a performance from Kingston & Malden Scout Band in the Food Tent at King George's playing fields.
  • Environmentally friendly water cartons from OneWater will be available at the start, checkpoints and at the finish. We advise that you bring some extra water too, especially if the forecast looks warm!
  • There will be a limited number of biodegradable ponchos available for walkers in case of wet weather, but do make sure you wrap up warm with plenty of layers and a waterproof coat in case of rain.
  • There will be delicious hot food and drinks to buy at King George’s playing fields, as well as hot and cold drinks, burgers, hot dogs and ice cream in Sutton, so please don't forget to bring cash.

  • You can also pick up some free goodies including pretzels, nut bars and cereal bars.
  • When you cross the finish line, you’ll receive your hard-earned Banham Marsden March medal. Wear it with pride!
  • Live entertainment will be helping you celebrate in festival style at the finish, including: Sing With Us Choir, Bloco do sol and Endurance Steel Orchestra.
  • Make sure to make the most of our photo opportunities along the route and at the finish line and use #MarsdenMarch on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so we can see your pictures!
  • Consider how you'll fuel for the big day! We’ve kindly been given two delicious breakfast recipes - Apple, almond and quinoa bake and Mexican smoky breakfast beans by nutritionist Toral from the Urban Kitchen. Download below.
