The hospital has been at the forefront of some of the most successful cancer treatments used worldwide today. With one in two people expected to receive a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives, it is more vital than ever to ensure that The Royal Marsden can continue to be there for the growing number of cancer patients. This role will have a huge impact in touching thousands of people’s lives raising vital funds providing world leading cancer treatments.
This is a key role within the Individual Giving team with an opportunity to grow and shape an ambitious team in their journey to deliver engaging and inspiring campaigns. Our Individual Giving programme raises over £2.3 million a year and is critical to ensuring that more people can have life-saving cancer treatments.
A key focus of the role will be to help deliver and manage The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s ambitious supporter recruitment and development programme. You will take responsibility for the development and implementation of the Individual Giving team’s direct marketing programme, along with developing and implementing a calendar of supporter acquisition and retention activities across digital and traditional channels. You will build and implement a framework for testing and rolling out supporter acquisition and retention strategies including focus on supporter journeys and keep up to date on the latest trends and techniques in fundraising and apply learnings as appropriate on new and existing supporter communications initiatives.
The post is based within the Individual Giving team and reports to the Head of Individual Giving.
The candidate will:
• have experience of leading multi-channel direct marketing campaigns, with knowledge of the trends and techniques in supporter acquisition and retention.
• have a demonstrable track record in planning, implementing, and managing multi-channel direct marketing campaigns.
• have demonstrable experience of strategic planning.
• be a passionate and creative fundraiser with a can-do attitude - confident in making creative and data-led recommendations and create inspiring and engaging campaigns.
