Josh's Team Marsden Fund

The Josh Bray Team Marsden Fund has been set up in his memory by his loving family.

In June 2017, Josh fell ill and was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. After initially being treated in our local hospital, his care was transferred to the Teenage and Young Adult ward (TYA) at The Royal Marsden in Sutton. After many rounds of Chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a Stem Cell Transplant, sadly Josh relapsed for a 3rd time at the end of 2019.

In December 2019, a week before Christmas, we received the devastating news that the chemotherapy was not working and there was nothing more we could do. Josh continued to receive care from the Marsden, and they provided us all with support at this awful time.

On 30th August 2020, Josh passed away on the Teenage and Young Adult unit at The Royal Marsden, surrounded by his family.

We will always be grateful for the medical and pastoral care Josh received. The TYA at the Royal Marsden is a fantastic space for teenagers and young adults and helps provide the care and support that they need at a difficult time.
