Experience the final 67km of the legendary Camino de Santiago. Wind through the beautiful hills and villages of Galicia to the magical Old Town of Santiago, where the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela marks the end of the expedition.

Historically an ancient pilgrimage route, today the Camino de Santiago is world-renowned as an unforgettable trek. Whilst this is not a religious tour, the trail still symbolises introspection, learning, and fresh starts.
Join Team Marsden to take on this reflective and meaningful challenge, and to raise vital funds to make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer.
Flights, accommodation, and transport between starting points are included.
Note: as our trek is 67km, participants will not receive the official 100km Compostela certificate.

The Camino de Santiago route
- Day 1 – Flight from the UK to Santiago, Spain.
- Day 2 – Begin the trek in Palais de Rei, heading through charming rural towns like Casanova before finishing the day in Arzua, famous for local cheeses and medieval churches.
- Day 3 – Continue through beautiful woodland to the chapel of Santa Irene before carrying on to Rúa and ending in Amenal.
- Day 4 – For the final day, follow the river past the historic Lavacolla. Finish in Santiago’s beautiful old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasting stunning architecture and a fantastic atmosphere.
- Day 5 – Flight from Santiago, Spain, back to the UK.
How to take part
Payment options
- The minimum sponsorship option means the charity will pay your challenge costs. Registration is £199 per person, and we ask each participant to reach a minimum fundraising target of £1,600.
- The self-funding option means you pay the event organisers, Global Adventures, the challenge costs. When you self-fund, there is no minimum target, but we hope you will try and raise as much as you can to support the work of The Royal Marsden.
Fundraising
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive personalised support and advice from a dedicated member of our charity events team. They will be on hand to answer any questions you might have as you prepare for the big trip!
You’ll also be invited to join our ‘Team Marsden Challenge Events’ Facebook group. Our friendly and supportive online community will be there to encourage you in your training, share top tips and advice, and keep you motivated in the run up to the event.
