Donate and help us develop more life-saving treatments for everyone

Cancer research breakthroughs are giving people like Jenny and Nick a future with their family. But with one in two people in the UK being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, we urgently need more breakthroughs.Donate now. For friends, for family, for the future.

Jenny was only 37 when she was diagnosed with advanced melanoma

In 2022, Jenny was diagnosed with melanoma and completed treatment in 2024. Sadly, just four months later, her cancer returned. Finding three tumours, her local hospital asked The Royal Marsden for advice. While Jenny’s tumours were inoperable, she was able to join a ground-breaking clinical trial, TILVANCE- 301.

The trial is using TIL therapy, an innovative immunotherapy treatment that harvests your body’s own immune cells, activates them to better recognise and attack cancer cells and then reintroduces them to the body. Thankfully, the trial is working and Jenny’s tumour has shrunk by more than 40%.

With your support, we can continue developing innovative, personalised treatments for patients everywhere.

When Nick’s lymphoma returned, world‑leading research at The Royal Marsden offered new treatment options

In 2016, Nick was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. He was successfully treated at The Royal Marsden with chemotherapy, but four years into remission he learnt that his cancer had returned. Thankfully, advances in treatment at The Royal Marsden meant Nick had more options than were available when he was first diagnosed.

Nick was put on innovative treatment including a form of immunotherapy called CAR-T therapy, in which your body’s T cells are extracted, expanded, activated and reinfused.

Today, Nick is enjoying life with his family.

With your support, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity can continue funding life-saving research.
