How to take part

Registration

• Registration is £30 per person and we ask each participant to reach a minimum fundraising target of £350. Register your interest for the 2026 event, and we'll be in touch as soon as our places are available.

• Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be added to the official event console to claim your charity place with the event organisers. You will be sent a separate link via email and will need to complete this to secure your place. After you’ve completed both steps, you’ll be all set to lace up your trainers and get running.

Training and fundraising support

• Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive one to one support from a dedicated member of the charity team to help you with your fundraising efforts and to answer any questions you may have as you prepare for the big day.

• You’ll also have access to our professional half marathon training plans to encourage you to start logging those miles. Whether it’s your first big race or you’re a seasoned runner, our plans will help structure your training to make sure you are ready for the challenge.

• When you register, you will also be able to join our Team Marsden Runners Facebook group. Our fun, friendly and supportive online community will be there to support you all the way, share top tips and advice and keep you motivated in the run up to the event.

A way to say thank you

Cameron took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon as a way to give back to The Royal Marsden after his family members were treated at the hospital.

"One of my new years resolutions for 2025 was to raise money for a charity by doing a half marathon, so The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity was the perfect fit for me.

It was an amazing day. The team photo at the beginning and everybody wishing each other good luck, the crowd gave me an extra push, the atmosphere was amazing!

For anyone taking on the challenge, put your pride to the side, and enjoy the ride and you'll really appreciate the support your peers have for you."

Thanks to supporters like Cameron, we can continue to be there for everyone who needs us.
