"The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is invaluable in supporting our work at The Royal Marsden."

Mr Shahnawaz Rasheed, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, specialises in laparoscopic and robotic surgery for colorectal cancers. He is a leader in his field and one of the only surgeons in the UK to perform colorectal surgery using robotic surgery.

Mr Rasheed also featured in last year's Super Surgeons TV series on Channel 4, where we saw him performing extraordinarily complex and life-changing surgery for his patients.

We spoke to Mr Rasheed about the difference donations to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity are making and this is what he said:

"The Royal Marsden is a pioneering centre for cancer globally. It was the first cancer hospital that was dedicated to cancer anywhere in the world. And over that 150+ year history, there have been numerous pioneering inventions that have then spread around the world. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is invaluable in supporting this work at The Royal Marsden."

"One in two of us will get cancer at one point in our lifetime. It's important that we support the work of The Royal Marsden so we can improve the lives of cancer patients globally."

"Please donate today to make difference, not only for patients at The Royal Marsden, but across the UK and around the world."
