Why join Team Marsden? Nicholas’ story

Nicholas decided to run the ASICS 10k 2023 in support of close friends receiving cancer treatment at The Royal Marsden.

“I was thrilled to have the opportunity to run on closed-to-traffic, iconic London streets for the first time. An absolute high point was to be cheered on by a close friend, on route and at the finish. And on the day, although nervous, I was so buoyed up by the atmosphere."

"The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity are so supportive, encouraging, and appreciative, providing lots of material and information in the build-up to the run. Training ahead of the run, being supported by a good friend, and having a fundraising target, which I was able to exceed and reset several times, was so motivational."

"The ASICS London 2023 10K race has been a true highlight of the year for me!”

Thanks to supporters like Nicholas, we continue to be there for everyone who needs us. We ensure the nurses, doctors and research teams at The Royal Marsden can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. Inspired? Sign up to ASICS 10k!
