Challenge event photographer volunteer

The Challenge Event team has a variety of runs, cycles, treks and skydives happening throughout the year, with often hundreds of participants in attendance.

Thanks to our volunteers and challenge event participants, we're raising awareness of the work we support at The Royal Marsden for patients at the hospital and beyond.

About your role   

You’ll support our Challenge Event team by capturing high quality photographs of the participants on the day for fundraisers to enjoy, and for the charity to use in marketing materials and on the website. You'll need to:

• Have a high-quality digital camera
• Have experience of photography
• Provide evidence of your photography
• Be an ambassador for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
• Download and transfer photos to the charity

Your location  

The challenge events that we attend are spread across Surrey, London, Brighton and the Southeast of England. You will need to be able to travel to and from the events, which usually take part on weekends.

Your time commitment

We would like you to attend the events for approximately 3-4 hours depending on the nature and location of the event.

Next steps    

If your application is successful, you will be invited to an informal interview (either at the Sutton office or online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom). The interview will take place with a member of the Community Fundraising team.

As part of the application process, you will need to confirm your right to volunteer in the UK.

We will also need to carry out two reference checks and a DBS clearance.
