"I still find it unbelievable that I finished my treatment in five days"
When Alastair, 65, from the West Midlands, was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he was referred to The Royal Marsden and received radiotherapy treatment. He was put on the PACE-B trial and treated with radiotherapy via the CyberKnife. Results from the PACE-B trial showed that some prostate patients can be treated with just five sessions of higher-dose stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), which could cut treatment time by 75%.
