Philippa and her husband Jon chose to take on the Trek to Machu Picchu to celebrate Philippa's all-clear after nine years of cancer treatment, raising over £6,600 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
"I wanted to do something big and challenging to mark this point in my life and push myself out of my comfort zone! I have always wanted to go to Machu Picchu, so now was my chance to take on a challenge and raise funds for this very important charity.
"Trekking in the Andes is breath-taking. Seeing Machu Picchu for the first time is something I will never forget. It meant so much to me, thinking of all my sponsors and those who hadn’t made it through cancer treatment, I felt so lucky to be there."
