Tick off your bucket list the iconic London to Paris Cycle and join Team Marsden for a wonderful adventure. Cycle through the picturesque Sussex countryside and the medieval market towns of Northern France, for a picture-perfect finale at the Eiffel Tower.
Starting on Thursday 20 June 2024, this is one of the greatest cycling experiences in Europe. This unique bespoke London to Paris Cycle has been organised by our incredible partners at Discover Adventure.

How to take part
1. Register
Registration is £150 per person. You can then choose between two fundraising options, or you can choose to self fund your challenge.
2. Get ready for the day
Discover Adventure will provide you with a detailed packing kit-list on registration, and you will receive your very own Royal Marsden Cancer Charity cycling jersey and fundraising pack. You will get our full support in the run up to the big day so you can focus on your training and fundraising.
3. Take on the London to Paris Cycle for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity!
Get on the saddle and cycle alongside fellow riders, enjoy a unique scenery all the way to the Eiffel Tower, and reward yourself with an evening of celebrations in the City of Lights to mark your achievement!
The London to Paris Cycle route
Setting off from East London, you will:
- pass through the outskirts of London onto quieter roads
- ride through beautiful rolling Surrey and Sussex
- descend into the harbour town of Newhaven
- board the ferry to Dieppe
- pass through the beautiful scenery of North France, towards the renown Beauvais
- finally ride through the suburbs of Paris, and finish your incredible cycling adventure at the iconic Eiffel Tower
The total distance is 180 miles.

What's included when I join Team Marsden?
Your registration includes:
- your welcome pack sent prior to the day, including your very own Royal Marsden Cancer Charity cycling jersey
- fundraising support and advice from a dedicated member of staff at The Royal Marsden and access to our supportive Royal Marsden cyclists Facebook group
- all transport from London to Paris and return (by ferry and Eurostar)
- all meals except where specified and accommodation on a twin share basis
- discover Adventure leaders, mechanics and drivers
- full vehicle support throughout the trip
- route information
Your registration does not include:
- any meals specified 'not included' in the itinerary
- travel insurance
- bicycle
- cycle helmet (compulsory) and water bottles
- optional Discover Adventure bike courier return service
- personal spending money, souvenirs and drinks
- any applicable surcharges as per Terms and Conditions

The difference you make
Julie has taken on the London to Paris Cycle Challenge in 2022 and 2023 as a way to say thank you to The Royal Marsden and raise awareness towards thyroid cancer treatments in the future.

- Sponsorship option: Pay a registration fee of £150 today, then £1,800 to us at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity 10 weeks before departure.
- Part payment option: Pay a registration fee of £150 today, then £250 to Discover Adventure and £1,300 to us 10 weeks before departure.
- Full payment option: Pay a registration fee of £150 today, then pay £899 to Discover Adventure or to us approximately eight weeks before departure.
