What to expect

Whichever race you choose, the crowd support is fantastic both in the town and along the rural sections of the route.

The Marathon

The marathon course is a single lap, traffic-free route on closed roads and cycle paths - or 'Redways' as they are known locally. It combines the tree-lined city centre boulevards with many miles of leafy surrounding suburbs, lake and canalside Redways.

Date: 2 May 2022

Registration fee: FREE

Fundraising target: £250

The Half Marathon

Like the marathon in the same running festival, the half marathon is on a closed, traffic-free route that takes advantage of the miles of cycle paths - 'Redways' - in the area, the beautiful leafy city avenues and suburban areas, and alongside lakes and canals.

Date: 2 May 2022

Registration fee: FREE
Fundraising target: £150
