A truly iconic event in the cycling calendar run by the 'oldest bicycle shop in the world', the Pearson’s 150km Brighton and Back route takes you south through the lanes of Surrey and Sussex. This special event, created to support The Royal Marsden, is definitely one of our faves!
Choose your distance
Starting at The Royal Marsden in Sutton, there are two route distances to choose from: 150km (93 miles) Brighton and Back and 70km (43.5 miles) Brighton One Way.
Brighton and Back
You'll take in the climbs of the North and South Downs including the infamously tricky Ditchling Beacon, followed by a swift descent to the halfway marker at the seafront in Brighton, where you can kick back, take in the sea air, and refuel.
The second half of the route will take you north again, riding through exquisite undulating scenery to the finish. Timing chips will be clocked in and results will be available to collect at the finish. Feed stops will be at Turners Hill on Dyke Road coming back out of Brighton and at Rusper before heading back to the finish at The Royal Marsden.
Brighton One Way
This 70km route winds its way through leafy lanes in Surrey and Sussex. Taking in ascents and descents of the North and South Downs, it's a perfect opportunity to enjoy a great day of cycling, make new friends and do something really special to help The Royal Marsden.
