Why I left a gift in my Will

Thanks to our supporters, The Royal Marsden can change the lives of countless cancer patients every year. Find out what inspires them to leave a gift in their Will to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

I’m immensely proud to leave a gift in my Will, knowing it will go towards research that will transform the lives of cancer patients for years to come.

Advancing groundbreaking research of the future

Carol has responded well to treatment, which is helping to slow and manage her breast cancer.

At The Royal Marsden, it’s not just about outstanding care – the advancements they are making through research are truly groundbreaking. It’s so reassuring to know I’m receiving the best possible treatment, which is why I want to help other people affected by cancer.

I’m immensely proud to leave a gift in my Will, knowing it will go towards research that will transform the lives of cancer patients for years to come.

"We have a better understanding of different cancer types"

Gifts in Wills helped to fund the pioneering NIHR Centre for Molecular Pathology. The Centre brings clinicians and scientists together to better understand different types of cancer, and develop personalised treatments that improve the lives of patients at The Royal Marsden, across the UK and around the world.

Dr Lisa Thompson, Head of Clinical Genomics said:

Supporters of the Charity enable us to invest in leading-edge technology, which helps us to accelerate our research from the laboratory into the clinic, and enables us to offer a truly personalised approach for cancer patients everywhere.
