The California

We were delighted to have so much support along the route of The Marsden March.  At the start we had The Crown decorated with banners and balloons and offering hot breakfast rolls to hungry participants.

It was a long day, but finally it was time for a rest and The California went all out to welcome our fundraisers.

Thank you to all the pubs and cafés who made the whole day such a wonderful success.  You can see the full list here: http://www.royalmarsden.org/march/sponsors

Fun Day raises £1,880
19 June 2015

The New Inn Pub in Roydon, Essex raised an amazing £1,880 at a recent Fun Day. Special thanks to Tracey Mitchell, event organiser; Mary, the landlord, who helped organise and provided her lovely pub garden for the event; also to Phil "The Fireman" Green who played and sang most of the day free of charge.

The successful event included a children’s tombola, an auction and a raffle. Donations included a sizeable sum from the barbecue and bar. Thank you to everyone at The New Inn and the local community.

Pubs support The Marsden March
21 April 2015

The Crown Public House on Dovehouse Street in Chelsea opened its doors to welcome everyone arriving for The Marsden March last month.

Charlie, the manager prepared hot bacon rolls and lots of hot drinks to send people on their way. The Crown and other pubs in the group, including Chequers Tavern and Ye Grapes, organised a large team for the first Marsden March in 2011 and have continued to support the charity every year, with the total raised by the group now in excess of £11,000.

As well as collection tins on the bar, The Crown has a used bookshelf allowing customers to recycle their favourite read, and to donate to the charity.

Thanks so much for all your amazing support!
